I need your help in this windows 8 sound problem. many thanks in advance.

Recently i am just upgraded to 64 bit windows 8 Pro from Windows 7 Uti 32 bit. Everything works fine except the sound not working. i havent had the issue on windows 7. i have checked every seeting and upgraded all the drivers and it still doesn't work. when i play a mp4 track on media player the sound bar is working and you see it going green,but it isn't coming through my speakers on headphones.

does anyone seems to have experienced the same in windows 8?

Is your PC a laptop or a desktop, if a desktop pls check the connection of your sound stereo, if a alptop there maybe some problem of your sound device.

Perhaps your upgrade of Windows 7 to 8 have caused some problem to the sound device, for example the driver.

For a start, you can download a sound playback troubledhooter and just click the "fix" buuton to detect your sound problem.

In the File Download dialog box, click Run, and then follow the steps in the wizard.

BTW, the best place to download a sound playback troubleshooter is Microsoft.com.
