Hello guys,
The computer in my office is running with Windows 8 64bit, and I have attached to it a Samsung SCX-4100 multi-function device (printer, scanner, copier). I have installed the recommended driver from the Samsung Website and the device now prints and photocopies fine. But what strange is that it won't scan. I have installed the correct Smart Thru software from the original installation disk that came with the printer. But when I launch Smart Thru and use it to Scan a Folder it returns the message 'unable to open SCX-4100'. Then I do not know what shall I do.
Pls advise!
Thanks!

Hello
I do not know if this works but I had problems with my HP AIO going from Win 7 to 8.
Only certain features functioned.
I tried individual drivers to not avail.
Finally I went to HP, entered my printers stats and downloaded a comprehensive 32 MB installation.
It has worked well since. I think it uninstalled the old and reinstalled the new.
I hope your company has seen to attending to those who have ungraded.
