i have an acer 5738z laptop with Windows 8 64 bit ultimate bulid 7600 and windows is updated. all drivers are installed and updated.everything is ok but when i click on the hibernate button the screen just dims and after a few seconds it returns to the windows plz help. all answers are appreciated.

Go To : Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options

Then click choose what power buttons do.

Then change the option for "When I press the sleep button".

The old aged motherboard will come up such problem frequently. You have to change the BIOS settings to forbid the network wakeup and USB wakeup. Or you have do the above steps supplied by Sophip.
