I've used many backup prog's over the years and had my favorite Drive Image who was bought out by Norton for the sole reason of shutting down the competition. So i was wanting to mess with some custom theme's so before i hosed my comp i decided to try Windows own backup prog, I was amazed at how easy it was and fast. As luck would have it i managed to hose the comp, insert the disc i had made and in 5 minutes i was back up and running, not once but five times (i'm a slow learner with custom themes). My point is you really don't need a third party backup program, the one in Windows 8 work like a charm

To back up your files

Open Backup and Restore by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking Backup and Restore.

Do one of the following:

If you've never used Windows Backup before, click Set up backup, and then follow the steps in the wizard. Administrator permission required If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

If you've created a backup before, you can wait for your regularly scheduled backup to occur, or you can manually create a new backup by clicking Back up now. Administrator permission required If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Is this what you want ??
