coming here for some help because you guys have fixed all problems in the past./

this time i do not know what's wrong with the custom theme because recently it always reset to the default cursor set it was based on. and i am using windows 8 beta 64 bit.

does anyone know what could be causing this and if you can come up with more detailed instructions or explanations would be highly appreciated.

Mouse Properties > Pointers

Is "Allow themes to change pointers" checked?

How are you applying the theme?

I'm also puzzled why you failed to do that. you can follow the above solutions.
