How can I delete files if system states I'm not administrator and I am. I researched other threads and went to this link app.box.com to gain access to all files. States I can't install. Help. I've had my HP almost two years and it wasn't installed with grant all admin to files.

Then you have to download "Grant Admin Full Control" and install it yourself.

After that, you can Right Click on any file or folder and 'Grant Admin full Control' and make yourself the owner of that which you just clicked on.

Here is just one, of many, places where you can download the program. Save it to your desktop and run it from there.

I have to setup new PC's every week (or so) and I have a list of things I will either install or run during the Install process.
That list includes,
Show all files, including hidden files
Grant Admin Full control
Lower UAC to lowest level
Disable Hibernate
Lower boot delay, from 30 sec's to 3 sec's

And finally, on Windows 8.1, install the Classic Shell

Windows is a lot more enjoyable with the proper setup.
