Hello guys, i have a HP 2000 laptop Intel Celeron. It had a recovery partition but i had no idea and accidentally i deleted it completely and i deleted the partition as well which had windows 8. Now it requires original HP recovery disc which i cannot possibly get my hands on. Please is there any way i can install windows 8.1 on it again without recovery disc or what so ever, i would really appreciate it.

I have also given a picture of the error that i get when i try to make new partition and install windows.

First, let me welcome you to the forum.

??? Intel Celeron? That was always the very bottom of the Intel line, because the CPU has little or no Cache.
I thought they had discontinued that chip. It was always a poor performer.

??? Why were you deleting partitions? Every factory made partition has a very specific purpose.

If that unit is still under factory warranty, maybe you can contact HP and get a restore disk from them.

When ever you set up a new computer these days, they encourage you to make the backup disks. I guess you didn't do that. Eh?

Good Luck!

Your best option is to order your recovery discs from HP directly. They don't cost much and as I recall the last time I order some the discs cost me $19.95 plus shipping.

Obtaining HP Recovery Discs or an HP USB Recovery Drive | HP (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=bph07143&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en)

This is the correct answer which, I was going to give you 'cept, I see my friend beat me to it. :D Have to admit, I hadn't looked @ things here for a couple of days.

After you do have Win8 back in it remember, you go to the Store, again for 8.1

Cheers,
