View Full Version : Surface Pro 2 - unable to open mail,people,calendar

Hello all,

My Pro 2 just recently performed an update to Windows 8, and now certain apps will not operate. They will still display live feeds in the icons, but whenever I try to open them, they initially act as though they will open and then immediately close, returning me back to the main menu. Is there some sort of fix for this? I really need to be able to quickly access emails and the calendar for school. Thanks.

Try clearing the store cache...........

1. Press the Windows+R keys on your keyboard to open the Run dialog.

2. Type WSReset.exe, and click/tap on OK.

3. In Windows 8 and Windows RT, the Store will now open, and state the following: The cache for the store was cleared. You can now browse the store for apps.

4. In Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1, the Store will now open without any message. You can now browse the store for apps.
