Did you create a USB recovery flash drive when you first got your laptop?

Without actually being able to see your PC, I could only guess that you created a new partition ahead of your C drive, instead of behind it. ???
I've never used that particular program to modify my hard drive, nor will I ever, but the proper way to create a new partition would be to first decrease the size of the C drive, leaving free space at the end and then format that space as a new partition, so the new partition follows C.
I've done that a g'zillion times, in years past with Partition Magic, and more recently with 'EaseUS Partition Master'.
My 'Rule One' is to NEVER futz with the hard drive from within Windows. I will only do my modifications to my hard drive, or my backups, from a Bootable CD, or Flash Drive, which takes Windows completely out of the game.
It sounds like you did NOT have a backup of your C drive, before you started changing the partitions. Eh?
Good Luck!

Hello mrspecky,
We are so sorry for the problem this time you encountered. If you have a WinPE recovery disc, please boot from the disc to delete a file called "ampa.exe" in this path "C:/Windows", after that your computer will come back to normal. If you do not have such a recovery disc, you may use BartPE to create one.
Once again, we sincerely apologize for all the inconvenience.
Best Regards,
AOMEI Support Team
