    Default Backupper- Poor Restore From Network Location Support

    I have a Win7/Win8 dual boot setup. Using Backupper from Win8, there was no problem backing up the Win8 System Image to a network share on another computer in my home network. The first problem arose when I tried to use the Backupper WinPE Boot Disc(after burning DVD), to Restore the Win8 Image from the network share, where Backupper allowed me to save the Image earlier. If I remember correctly, after booting using the boot disc and trying to restore the image, I recieved an Error message sayin there was a problem starting shwebsvc.dll; module not found.

    After contacting Aomei Tech Support via email, I was told that Backupper 1.1.1 does not yet support Image Restore from a Network Location using the WinPE Boot Disc or the Linux Boot Disc. I was glad I learned Linux wouldn't work either, before I wasted another burned DVD.

    I just booted into Win8 and tried from within the OS to do the Image Restore again. But becuse I was trying to restore the Win8 Image from the Win8 partition, Backupper told me I had to reboot to Restore in "Restart Mode" because the OS was in use. When the computer rebooted and Backupper started in "Restart Mode", I soon received a message stating "Information Code:4107 Element not found", and there again is no way to choose the Restore Image from the Network location. I don' know why it told me to reboot when Backupper knew my Image was in a network folder. What does Code:4107 mean?

    Right now I'm in the middle of the Win8 System Image Restore process, I hope everything works when it's completed. I ended up booting into Win7 and installing Backupper there in Win7. Then I clicked Restore, chose the Win8 Image from the Network share and chose the location I wanted to Restore to and it started working. I guess the only possible current way that works to Restore from a Network Location, is from within Windows but the source and destination of the Image cannot be the same. I hope my troubles might clear some things up for anyone using AOMEI Backupper.

    Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated,

    Can anyone from AOMEI Tech Support help me, or tell me an easier way to Restore an Image from Network Share?

    Is Aomei Technology still helping on this forum??

    I thought there was supposed to be a new Backupper version to fix the "Restore from Network Location" issue, at the end of June 2013? Here it is July 2nd and still no new version, anyone have any info? Thanks.

    What version are you running? The latest is version 1.1.

    Yes I'm also using the latest version 1.1.1, but was told via AOMEI email that the "Restore via Network" feature would be fixed in the soon to be released(End of June 2013) version. Hopefully we'll see it by the end of July.
